Don't lose your aircraft because of an intentional or inadvertent action where narcotics or firearms are placed or left on board your aircraft.  Our Contraband Detector Dogs are trained and certified to locate these unwanted items. There are no better or efficient methods to screen, inspect or search for contraband items than a trained and certified canine.

Our detector dogs locate firearms, ammunition, and illicit narcotics odors.  Canines are more efficient than any man-made detector which can be brought into the field.  Scientific and technology communities have yet to produce a better "sniffer" than a trained canine.

We serve the aviation community anywhere, anytime.  Just as it is not unusual for us to work to local airports and FBO's, it is also not unusual for us to travel for our clients.  Pictured above are Handler Mike Canaan with Explosives Detector Dog Franko at Augusta Aviation at Daniel Field in Augusta, GA.

SCREENING AND INSPECTION SERVICES

Here is an example of our screening and inspection service for departures:

  1. We arrive at the location and meet with persons responsible for the aircraft
  2. Conduct our own safety inspection of the aircraft looking for potential hazards to dog and handler. Discuss with persons responsible any issues about the aircraft, crew, or passengers that would affect or impact our screening
  3. Screen the aircraft with the contraband detector dog
  4. If required, assist with the security of the aircraft, hangar, luggage, vehicles and other equipment as needed
  5. No luggage, parcels, packages, food, equipment or other stores would be allowed on the aircraft without first being inspected by one or both types of dogs
  6. Any arriving items mentioned above would be inspected by one or both types of dogs prior to loading on the aircraft

For arrivals:

  1. Arrive at the destination ahead of aircraft. Meet persons responsible for the arrival
  2. Conduct our own safety inspection looking for potential hazards
  3. Screen any vehicles present for explosives and/or contraband
  4. Screen luggage, packages, food, and equipment or other stores present in the area which will later be placed on the aircraft
  5. Assist in maintaining security of the arrival location
  6. If required, we provide contraband screening and inspections at subsequent client destinations before their arrival. We work with local law enforcement and/or security personnel if requested by the client

Why screen an aircraft for contraband? Other than the very important security and safety reasons mentioned above, what would happen if Customs or another law enforcement agency found narcotics or a firearm aboard the aircraft? Seizure is a word that comes to mind. What would happen to the crew and passengers if this were to happen in a foreign country? Jail or prison!  Imagine the legal fees and time it could take to get the people and aircraft released from custody, not to mention the embarrassment?

Public and private sector entities now have an on-call, pre-emptive tool available for the detection of contraband items in nearly any environment. We know from experience that terroristic and malicious acts affect all facets of our lives. Whether it be disruption of business or malicious revenge, the potential human and financial costs are unfathomable.
