Trident was formed in 1991 by Michael J. Canaan to provide quality professional investigative services for our legal, insurance, and corporate clients. Our office is located in the Seattle-Tacoma area. With our Alliance Partners and multi-state licenses, we do a lot of business outside Washington state.

In 1999, we became licensed in Oregon as an investigation agency so that we could serve our customers needs to the south. In August 2002, we became licensed in Alaska at the request of several of our maritime and fishing industry clients.

Our Staff joins us with a broad spectrum of experience from their respective federal and local law enforcement, corporate, and legal investigative fields. We offer a wealth of knowledge, expertise, experience, and equipment unlike any other investigative agency in the Pacific Northwest.

All of our investigations are completed in a timely manner. A Professional written report containing all pertinent documentation is provided upon completion of each investigation. All assignments are held in the strictest of confidence. Privacy and confidentiality are key factors in the completion of a successful investigation.

Quality Product. We utilize sophisticated and state-of-the-art video and photographic equipment. This includes a broadcast quality video editing suite located in our office to process a variety of video products that suit our customers needs. We are able to enhance the quality of our client copies as well as producing in-house high-resolution full-color video and photographic prints.

Information is Power. Critical decision making relies upon complete and accurate information. You cannot afford to be uninformed with regard to potential problem employees, new acquisitions, competitors, claimants, or business associates. All of your public information needs can be satisfied through our extensive computer database networks. Other non-public legally obtained information is often available to us from a variety of sources.

Pricing and Value. Of real concern to us are our clients perception of pricing.  What are you paying for? As you know, a service is an intangible item.
